The Onrust Mountains form the majestic backdrop to this beautiful house. The Hermanus area is one of the world’s richest floral kingdoms and is packed with great activities for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Crimson Views Living Areas

Living Room & Kitchen

The massive living area with open plan kitchen and dining room, for use to all our guests, offers a big L shaped sofa, 40” TV, dining room table, marble kitchen surfaces and glass concertina doors spanning the entire length of the house leading off onto the 1st floor the balcony which overlooks the ocean. 

From the 1st floor balcony you have access, via spiral staircase, to the 2nd floor balcony with 360 degree unspoilt views of the mountain and ocean. The balcony is furnished with a tables, chairs and braai (BBQ) facilities.

There is also a wood/ coal burning fireplace in the centre of the living room, which, when used, gives the room a warm, cosy feeling during the winter months. The large main balcony runs across the entire front of the house and is extremely spacious.. It is tiled throughout and is an excellent area to enjoy all your meals during the summer months. 

Ocean View Balcony

There is an outside table provided with enough seating for 8 people, along with a large umbrella. There are also two braai’s / barbeques offered, which can be used on the balcony, perfect for cooking the local crayfish as the ​Sandbaai skies turn crimson in the evening, and the sun goes down over the ocean. There are also two sun-loungers provided which can be used to laze the days away in the warm African sun. 

There is access to the balcony from the living room through our magnificent, large fold-up doors, as well as from the kitchen and sea-facing en-suite bedroom.

2nd Floor Panoramic Balcony

A spiral staircase leads up from the Main Balcony to the superb Cocktail Balcony, which resides on the top level of the house. The Cocktail Balcony is one of the highest platforms in the surrounding Sandbaai area which boasts a panoramic 360 degree view, the ocean on your one side and the mountains on your other. This is indeed an excellent spot to witness the sun rising over the Hemel-en-Aarde Mountains and then, later on, enjoy an exotic cocktail as it sets into the ocean directly in front of the house. Crimson Views indeed!

Leisure Facilities

The games room offers table tennis, pool and darts. There is also a drinks fridge and double sliding doors leading onto the back garden and a luxurious pool area, perfect for a late afternoon braai/barbeque.

Crimson Views Bedrooms

Ocean View Bedroom - This impressive bedroom en-suite not only offers you an ocean view but also boasts a queen sized bed with large built in cupboards. From the bed you will be overlooking the sea through your own set of sliding doors on the balcony. The room has neutral decor and is one of the houses brightest and warmest rooms, with fantastic afternoon sun. There is a modern en-suite bathroom with a corner jacuzzi-spa bath as well as a large walk-in shower with adjustable massage settings. 

Mountain View Bedroom - This huge room looks out towards the majestic mountains in the east. The warm morning sun floods through the windows which overlook the large, indigenous back garden and pool area. This room features neutral decor, a queen sized bed, as well as built-in cupboards. The big en-suite offers a bath and walk-in shower with adjustable massage settings. 

Sunset View Bedroom - This large, ground floor bedroom with en-suite has a queen size bed and sliding door opening up on to your own patio at the front of the house which is ocean facing. 

Crimson View Bedroom - This large bedroom with en-suite has a queen size bed and sliding door opening up on to your own patio at the front of the house which is ocean facing. The en-suite has a large shower with adjustable massage settings. 

Moon View Bedroom - This extremely spacious bedroom with private bathroom is one of the largest in the house, for those who love their space. The adjacent bathroom has a large shower with adjustable massage settings. 

Sunrise View Bedroom - This contemporary room has two sets of bunk-beds, sleeping four people. It also features a built-in cupboard and a good sized window which overlooks the mountain and pool area.

Garden View Bedroom - A bright, comfortable room with two single beds. There are two large windows with a views of the mountain. The room has a built-in cupboard and is adjacent to a massive bathroom with walk in shower with adjustable massage settings.
